2005 10 23

Sunrise from our appartment window in Baku. (43kb) Most days it looks just like this - nice eh. (37kb) This monkey lives in a little touristy zoo in the pedestrain area of Baku and it will pose for pictures for you. (40kb)
The begining of our adventure to Sheki (AZ-Seki) (57kb) A typical Azeri truck (53kb) 0051.jpg (54kb)
The terain around Baku is much like this. Arid and sparse. (43kb) Strange structure built outside of a yet to be constructed tea house (84kb) Cows, cows everwhere - Anders calls them moos (80kb)
Strange little resturant overlooking a nice valley - good food. (54kb) here's the amazing view. (45kb) this woman sold us some fruit and really really wanted us to buy some wallnuts. (48kb)
more moo moos. - I almost hit 2 or 3 on this trip. (46kb) Nice Azeri and his ass hauling grass. (92kb) This is the main (only?) hotel in Sheki - the Caravan Sarri. It was really nice in a one star hotel kind of way. (62kb)
Terry our NP and his family spent the night at the same mahmanhanada (hotel in AZ). (59kb) This is the only picture I took of our room. This hotel is some 300 years old and was once used by camel caravans. (48kb) All the rooms opened up into this little courtyard (52kb)
0102.jpg (74kb) Waking to the Palace in Sheki (69kb) The wall surounding the old town (65kb)
0124.jpg (58kb) lots of coblestone streets. (77kb) and old buildings (72kb)
check out this shoe! This guy was a excentric to say the least. (90kb) Nice hat - you actualy see quite a few like that here. (48kb) nice wolf eh. Anders couldn't quite figure it out. (85kb)
The palace (300 years old) (86kb) these are the outside of some amazing windows - you'll soon see from the inside. (107kb) 0153.jpg (60kb)
